Musical Chats

MUSICAL CHATS is a series connecting current social issues found inside great works of classical music, to our daily lives, in an informal setting. In Musical Chats, the audience is a guest in Adrian's living room while he plays -and chats, naturally- linking the music to the world we live in, who we are and how we got here.

Following a successful Series 1 with strong audience support and engagement, Series 2 focuses on identity, gender violence, and unconscious racial bias, looking closely at the music of Mahler, Rimsky-Korsakov and Bernstein.

New and old-comers welcome.

'Mahler: identity, recasting, rebirth'

ABOUT: Identity is fluid, not set in stone. Mahler’s unique, epic music reveals his own quest for effecting life changes, drawing on classical and contemporary roots, Christian and Jewish cultures, Bohemian street bands, and Eastern philosophy.
